Lumos Learning Lab

A small hybrid learning program serving students in grades 6-12. Students complete accredited coursework at their own pace while receiving daily support, accountability, and guidance from dedicated learning coaches in a structured and supportive environment.

We are not a traditional classroom. We are not homeschooling. We are not an online school. We are something in between: a place where students are known, supported, challenged, and given the flexibility to learn in a way that works for them.

Your Pace

Every student learns differently. Whether a student needs to catch up on credits, move ahead more quickly, or simply benefit from a different pace, our program allows students to make meaningful progress toward their goals.

Our Support

Students have access to caring adults who monitor progress, provide accountability, celebrate successes, and step in quickly when challenges arise. Students work independently, but never alone.

Our Community

We intentionally keep enrollment small so students are known by name. Relationships matter. Students build connections with peers, receive encouragement, and become part of a learning community where they belong.

Flexible Learning with Structure and Accountability

Students attend on-campus learning sessions Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During the first 30 days, students attend all four days as we establish routines, build relationships, and strengthen our learning community.

As students demonstrate responsibility, self-direction, and academic progress, they may earn additional flexibility and complete some coursework remotely. Fridays are dedicated to coursework completed from home, allowing students greater independence while maintaining clear expectations and accountability.

Fine Arts will be integrated into the program on an individual level for students who are excelling in the program, need a break from the computer or are artistically inclined and looking to grow in these areas. Art projects may be incorporated during the in-person days to strengthen our sense of community. Students may have the opportunity to earn an elective credit in art.

Wednesday Community & Innovation Day

Every Wednesday, all students are on campus together. This day is dedicated to building community, developing life skills, and preparing students for success beyond high school.

Through interactive seminars, students explore topics such as communication, leadership, character development, financial literacy, goal setting, interpersonal skills, and problem solving.

Students will also collaborate on large-scale real-world projects. These projects may involve solving authentic community challenges, creating products, organizing events, launching a business, or developing innovative solutions to meaningful problems.

Every student will have a defined role and play an important part in the team's success. These projects help students develop critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, accountability, and communication skills while experiencing the satisfaction of working together toward a common goal.
