An Important Update from Lumos Arts Academy

After eight years of serving students and families, Lumos Arts Academy has made the difficult decision to close and will not reopen for the 2026–2027 school year in its current form.

We are deeply grateful to our students, families, faculty, staff, and community for being part of the Lumos journey.

Information regarding student records, transcripts, artwork pickup, and potential educational options currently being explored is available below.

Thank you for your trust and support over the years.

Artwork Pickup

Student artwork will be available for pickup beginning next week during office hours:

Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm

If you need alternative arrangements, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Records & Transcript Request

As families begin the process of enrolling in other schools, please use the following for official school records and transcript requests:

  • Have your new school either:

  • Transcript Requests can take between 7-10 business days.

Potential Educational Options

While Lumos Arts Academy, in its current form, including electives and in-person classes, will no longer operate, two alternative educational options are currently being explored:

  • K–5 Micro School

An idea has emerged to create a one-room Micro School for students in grades K–5, led by Robin Payne. Families with students in these grades will be contacted directly by Ms. Payne with additional information about this potential opportunity.

  • 6–12 Online/Lab School

There is also a possibility of offering an online/lab school model for students in grades 6–12. This model would provide an online curriculum with a teacher/mentor available to monitor student progress, offer support, and assist students in a computer lab-style classroom environment.

To help determine interest in this option, please complete this interest form.
